Why did you join EWB?

EWB was the one place I felt I could work alongside really cool people to use my engineering and people skills to make a difference in communities abroad and spread some positivity and love.

Why have you gotten more involved?

EWB's message is very powerful: empower people in communities abroad and equip them so that they can improve their quality of life. I wanted to be a part of this mission and my experiences of working with our community in Kenya made my desire to help further EWB's mission grow even more.

How has EWB helped you to grow as an individual?

EWB has helped me become more aware of various lives that people have due to lack of amenities we consider a given such as constant access to water and electricity. This understanding I have gained has created a desire within myself to do as much as I can to help other humans out there so that we can improve quality of life all around the globe. Seeing someone smile is the greatest assurance that you are doing something right, and I definitely saw that happen in the community I worked with in Kenya, which made me feel great to be a part of such a powerful mission.
